As a popular destination for tourists, Nevada is easily accessible from every corner of North America and all parts of the globe. Clark County's McCarran International Airport, located just five miles south of Las Vegas, is consistently ranked in the top five busiest airports in the United States and among the top 10 busiest airports in the world. The northern part of the state is served by yet another international airport, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
Our state is also well served by major highways, including Interstate 15, which passes through the state's southern population centers, and I-80, which crosses the northern part of , from the border with in the east to and into in the west. These freeways are supplemented by a number of federal highways (US-6, US-50, US-93, US-95 and US-395), as well as 189 Nevada State Highways. We are one of a few states in the country that allow semi-trailer trucks with three trailers (also known as "road trains").
Nevada's ground transportation system is completed by daily Amtrak passenger train service, which runs on the historic Union Pacific's original transcontinental railroad line, and, of course, Greyhound Bus Lines.
